Orauvelle
A luxury beauty house, taken from no name at all to a finished identity and brand guide, with its homepage chosen by public vote and the store now being built.

Name
Done1 October 2026The brief: a luxury beauty house for premium buyers, hair as the first product line, and a name that does not tie back to the founder. We blended three ideas, gold, aura and the soft ending of a fashion house, into invented words, and kept only the names free as a .com and on every major social platform.
Or
French for gold: luxury, value, the finest quality
Aura
The glow a woman carries when she feels beautiful
Velle
A soft, elegant ending, the sound of a fashion house
- →44 invented names generated from the three ideas
- →6 were free as a .com and on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and Snapchat
- →Invented, so it can be trademarked and every search leads to the brand
- →orauvelle.com secured on 2 October 2026, the day the name was chosen
Vote · Name · 6 optionsWhich name would you have picked?
Six invented names made the shortlist, each free as a .com and on every major social platform.

Logo concepts
Done2 October 2026Ten first directions, each drawn in the colours it would actually live in: a classic wordmark, a ring, a script, a crest, a gem, a halo, hair waves, an editorial stack, a seal and a monogram. Ten slogans were written alongside them, led by Wear your aura.

Refinement
Done2 October 2026We tested the first round against how premium beauty houses present themselves, then cut everything that looked cheap. The refined family leads with the name, adds one detail of its own, and uses flat gold that can be stamped as real foil.
- →Kept: lettering-led marks, one bespoke detail (the O drawn as a ring, the brand's aura), a monogram for packaging
- →Dropped: the gem and the hair waves, generic pictures that any brand could use
- →Dropped: gold gradients, because hot foil can only print flat colour
- →Dropped: splitting the name over two lines, and a typeface that read as hotel rather than beauty
Vote · Refined logos · 10 optionsWhich refined logo do you like most?
The second round, after research into how premium beauty houses present themselves.
1 / 10Aura-O wordmark
Recommended main logo: high-contrast serif capitals with the O drawn as a ring.

Final logo
Done2 October 2026The client chose a woven OV monogram: the O becomes a ribbon that passes through the V, set above the name in widely spaced capitals, in house burgundy on warm ivory. It was rebuilt as outlined vector masters, so it scales from a favicon to a shop sign without losing a line.
- →Four layouts: stacked signature, horizontal, wordmark and emblem, each in burgundy, black, ivory and champagne
- →A sturdier small emblem for anything under 48px, because the fine swash disappears at icon sizes
- →Separate tooling masters for gold foil and blind emboss, with every line at least 0.36mm at its stated size
- →Every logo file is outlines only, so it renders identically everywhere

Brand guide
Done2 October 2026A 23-page guide that turns the logo into a system anyone can apply: colours with tested contrast, two typefaces, packaging flats, hair labels, social templates and the website foundations, plus a print checklist so the first production run is right.
- →Palette: house burgundy, warm ivory, champagne and ink, with every allowed text pairing at 6.1:1 contrast or better
- →Cormorant Garamond for headings and Jost for body text, both under an open font licence
- →Packaging flats for the hair box, satin bag, tissue, seal and cards, with Pantone and foil references for the printer
- →A label system and SKU logic for wigs and bundles: length, texture, density, lace and colour
- →Instagram, WhatsApp and email templates, and the colour and type tokens the website is built on

Website
In progressVelvet Night, the cinematic, voice-first concept, won the public vote for the homepage on 5 October 2026, and the store is now being built on it: immersive on the homepage, light and calm wherever people browse and buy. The three concepts stay online as a reference and voting stays open, so you can still pick a favourite and tell us why. orauvelle.com keeps its holding page until launch.
- →Voter comments shaped the build: lighter pages for reading, search always in view, and the concierge as a companion rather than the whole page
- →An AI concierge that answers by text or voice in the brand's own voice, quoting product details only from the live catalogue
- →Virtual try-on: upload a photo and see a piece from several angles before reserving it
- →Find this wig: share a photo of a style and see the closest pieces in stock, or ask the house to source it
- →Reserve with a mobile money deposit and pay the balance on delivery
- →A store that learns: preferences, searches and requests shape what each visitor sees and what the house stocks next
Vote · Homepage · 3 optionsWhich homepage should Orauvelle launch with?
Three working concepts for the store. Each one is live, so open it, scroll it and ask the concierge something before you vote.
