Information Village

International

A senior team in Kampala, working your hours.

Information Village builds production software and AI systems for clients far beyond East Africa. Same engineers, same standards you see across this site, at a cost structure that only works because we are not in San Francisco or London.

Your working day is our working day

Kampala runs on UTC+3. That is the entire UK and EU working day in real time, and the full US East Coast morning by our afternoon. You will not manage us across a dateline: standups, demos and urgent calls happen inside your hours, not at midnight.

  • United KingdomFull day overlap (we are 2-3 hours ahead)
  • Europe (CET)Full day overlap (we are 1-2 hours ahead)
  • US East CoastYour 8am to 12pm is our working afternoon
  • US West CoastYour morning reaches our early evening, by arrangement

How remote delivery works here

A staging link from week one

Everything we build lives on a staging URL you can open any day, not in screenshots. You watch the product grow instead of waiting for a reveal.

Weekly demos, async by default

A short recorded demo every week, written updates you can read on your schedule, and calls when a decision needs one. We work like a remote-native team because we are one.

Production is the standard

Tests, monitoring, backups and security from day one. Our own company runs on systems we built, including the AI that operates our infrastructure, so what you buy is what we already live on.

You own everything

Code, infrastructure access and documentation are yours at handover. Contracts in USD, invoiced from a registered Ugandan company.

Agencies and consultancies: we deliver inside your contract

A good part of our work is engineering under somebody else's name, for firms in the US and Europe who won the client and need the build done properly. You keep the relationship and the margin; we keep your reporting rhythm and hand everything over. If that is your situation, the partner page has the detail.

  • →White-label delivery under your brand, or named as your technical partner
  • →Named CVs and past-performance evidence when a proposal needs them
  • →Your standups, your tooling, your review process, not ours
  • →Full overlap with the UK and EU day, and the US East Coast morning

Questions international clients ask

Why hire a team in Uganda instead of nearshoring?

Senior engineering at Kampala cost structure, English as the working language, and a timezone that overlaps the entire UK and EU day. You get the economics of offshoring without the communication tax that usually comes with it.

How do payments and contracts work?

Contracts and invoices in USD from Information Village Limited, a registered Ugandan company. Standard structure is 50 percent to begin, 40 percent at staging review, 10 percent at go-live, with a 90-day defect warranty after launch.

How do you handle security and IP?

Your code stays in your repositories or ours under contract, your data is never used to train models, and everything we host is monitored by SENTINEL, the security system we built and run on our own infrastructure. IP assigns to you at handover.

What happens after launch?

A 90-day warranty covers defects at no cost. After that, ongoing engineering from $1,500 per month or per-request support with a quote before any work starts. We reply within 4 business hours either way.
